The San Jose FORCE opened 2026 training camp at General Electric Field this week, marking the club’s first full-squad on-field work since last December’s Schmeague Championship.
Players reported Monday morning and moved straight into conditioning testing before taking the field for a walkthrough that afternoon. Participation in the voluntary offseason program was the highest in club history, and the coaching staff said the difference was visible from the first whistle.
“This group came back in the best shape I have seen since I have been here. Nobody had to be eased into anything. That is a credit to the work they put in on their own time.” Head Strength and Conditioning Coach, San Jose FORCE
On the Practice Field
The opening week followed the club’s standard camp structure. Sessions begin with a stretch period and individual position work, move into one-on-ones along the line and on the perimeter, and finish with seven-on-seven and full-team install. Special teams periods are worked in twice a week.
Practices have been held in the morning to manage the August heat, with the club’s acclimatization protocol in place for the opening stretch. Pads come on later this week.
“Camp is about competition. Every rep is being evaluated. The standard does not change based on how last season finished.” Head Coach, San Jose FORCE
