The San Jose FORCE won the first postseason game in club history on Sunday, defeating Throat Goats 147.06 to 128.6 on the road.
The 147.06 points are the most the FORCE have scored in a single game, surpassing the previous club best of 131.5. It was the only time all season San Jose cleared 130.
Throat Goats, who finished the regular season 9–5, put up 128.6 of their own — the second-highest total any FORCE opponent has posted this season. The clubs had met once before, in Week 10, when San Jose won 104.72 to 71.22 for its largest margin of victory of the year.
“You do not expect to need 147 to win a football game. On Sunday we did, and this group found it.” Head Coach, San Jose FORCE
A First for the Franchise
The FORCE qualified for the postseason for the first time after a Week 13 road win clinched their berth. Sunday’s result was the club’s first postseason victory.
